AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO AGREEMENT A2016-115 WITH CHARLIE’S FENCE COMPANY
Authorize execution of Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. A2016-115 with Charlie’s Fence Company, increasing the not-to-exceed amount to $40,000.
Charlie’s Fence Company provides custom metal and masonry work. These services include repair and replacement of City-owned fencing, gates, neighborhood monuments, and block walls.
The City established Service Agreement Number A2016-115 with Charlie’s Fence Company to provide these services when the City requires them; typically responding to repairs caused by accidents or vandalism. These types of incidents require expedient solutions in order to protect residents and infrastructure. All requests for work under this agreement fall under the open procurement policy in that they do not exceed $5,000 per incident.
This firm has consistently provided responsive service, quality work, and fair pricing. Due to an unanticipated number of incidents in this fiscal year, this is nearly at the $25,000 not-to-exceed limit of the agreement. Amendment No. 1 will provide an additional $15,000, bringing the total not-to-exceed amount to $40,000. The expiration date will remain at June 30, 2017.
